During the event, teams are expected to follow certain guidelines.  Violations of these rules may result in point penalties or disqualification.  Unidentified crew members are monitoring for violations!

• Teams must stay together throughout the event.
• The entire event takes place on foot.  No use of private vehicles or public transportation is allowed. 
• No running allowed.  Your team is only as fast as your slowest member.
• Cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited.  This includes peeking at other team's answers, working in cooperation with another team, or using any outside assistance (such as phoning friends). 
• If you are found cheating, your team receives no credit for the quest you are working on and may lead to disqualification.
• Use of any type of communication device, such as cell phones or PDAs, is prohibited. 
• All answers must be clearly written on the answer sheet.  No partial credit is given.
• Teams are from 2 to 4 people.  Team members may be as young as 16, but the "team captain" must be 18 or older.
• All local laws (e.g., trespassing, jaywalking, etc.) must be obeyed during the event.
• Registered participants consent to the use of their likeness in photos for articles about the event.

Do not expect to solve every quest you have been given.  Tempe FunQuest ends at 3:30 PM.  One team representative must be in line to return answer sheets by that time; late returns will not be graded.  No exceptions.
